It gives me great joy to contact you over the pleasant sales and service experience I have been experiencing with your dealership team over the past 12 months.
It all started with my purchase of my GTI from Lycette in May 2016. Lycette bent over backwards for me. I believe I may have been a rather frustrating customer initially. I came in looking to purchase a VW polo, ended up test driving a Jetta only to purchase a GTI a couple of months later! However what I would like you all to know is that I was always met with a smile and nothing seemed to phase Lycette. I only experienced joy every step of the way when purchasing my vehicle. I knew what I was getting into every step of the way – so no little nasty surprises like I have experienced with other brands (e.g. optional extras were clearly explained to me). In fact, I love my car so much more because of the fabulous experience. Even the lady (can’t remember her name) who helped me out with my finance was awesome.
Finally, I brought my vehicle in for a first-time service this past Wednesday (08th Feb). I was blown away by the smiles greeting me from the check-in service when I arrived. First, they checked in on whether I was happy with my car before we got into the business of checking in. The crew in front were fast, friendly and effective. I was then happily greeted by a driver who drove me to work in Johannesburg. I was kept updated by cell phone throughout the day and the Service Lady (again I can’t remember her name right now – sorry) even contacted me to confirm I was good to get back to the dealership to collect the car (which I was). Upon collection, the Service Lady was full of smiles and went through the finite detail of the service. At any time I was free to help myself to coffee or water. It is not so much what the Service Team did that blew me away, it was the manner in which they did it that made the difference. I experienced great friendly energy and it seemed as if your teams could not do enough to make the experience better. In fact, I felt like royalty!
I extend the message of praise and gratitude to you as this is the best experience I have had in 25 years of driving. I have owned and drove Merc’s, BMW’s and Land Rovers which are considered premium brands (throw in a terrible Kia experience as well). Please do convey my appreciation for to all your sales and service team members. In a world where we are all rushed, under pressure and constantly experiencing terrible service I am blown away by your team's sales and service experience. May long this continue!
